Harney and Campo to Lead Global Sports Partners
(Nov. 15, 2005-Manhattan Beach, Calif.)

The Elmore Sports Group announced today the formation of Global Sports Partners, LLC (GSP) as an international sports travel and management company to work with world sports organizations within the Olympic movement. Global Sports Partners will become the 16th company of the Elmore Sports Group and will be managed by veteran Olympic executives Greg Harney and Francisco Campo.

“We’re excited to have this new company become a member of The Elmore Sports Group,” said David G. Elmore, Chair of The Elmore Sports Group who will also serve as Managing Partner for GSP. “It has tremendous potential internationally particularly since we are extremely fortunate to have both Greg (Harney) and Francisco (Campo) serving as its President and Vice President after their long-established careers in the Olympic movement.”

Most recently Harney served as the Managing Director of International Affairs for the U.S. Olympic Committee overseeing the organizations international relations and bid administration programs including the recent New York 2012 bid. He also served as the USOC’s Managing Director of Games and Organizational Support for over 15 years serving as the U.S. Delegation Director for 40 plus multi-sport games including 10 Olympic Games and 5 Pan American Games.

Campo worked for the U.S. Olympic Committee for nearly five years serving most recently as its Director of International Cooperation. Prior to working with the USOC, Campo was the Manager of NOC Services for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games and had a distinguished career with the Canadian Olympic Committee in both international games and international relations.

PUERTO RICO OLYMPIC COMMITTEE SELECTS CARTAN TOURS

GLOBAL SPORTS PARTNERS TO SUPPORT IRAQI SKELETON ATHLETE FOR TORINO (Manhattan Beach, Calif.)

The Elmore Sports Group (ESG) and Global Sports Partners (GSP) announced today its support of Faisal Faisal, the Iraqi skeleton athlete that is pursuing his dream of participating in the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. ESG and GSP are providing direct support to Faisal’s coach, Chris Hedquist through the Utah Skeleton Association.

“We truly believe in Faisal’s spirit and mission to participate in the Olympic Games, said Greg Harney, President of Global Sports Partners who initially supported Faisal in 2005 when he was Managing Director of International Relations for the U.S. Committee. “He is a very determined young man with outstanding athletic ability.”

Faisal, who is currently training in Germany, will need to qualify for the 2006 Games by placing in the top eight (8) nations at the Federation Internationale de Bosleigh et de Tobogganing’s (FIBT) Skeleton Challenge Cup scheduled for January 18-22, 2006 in Konigssee, Germany. He is in his second year competing as a skeleton athlete although the 2005-2006 season is his official entry into the sport of skeleton as the National Olympic Committee of Iraq’s (NOCI) Winter Sports Committee recently became a participating member of the FIBT. Faisal, a former Athletics sprint champion from Iraq, had previously tried the winter sports of skiing and snowboarding before selecting skeleton as his Olympic pursuit.

“I’m extremely appreciative of Mr. (Dave) Elmore and Greg (Harney) providing this support to me through my coach Chris Hedquist,” said Faisal Faisal “Although this is only my second year of competing, my times continue to improve and I hope to be the first Iraqi athlete to compete in a Winter Olympics.”

Hedquist, who is a world class skeleton athlete himself and a member of the U.S. Skeleton team, had previously worked with Faisal when he trained in Lake Placid and will support and coach Faisal prior to the Challenge Cup. GSP and ESG’s support will consist of subsidizing coaching and travel expenses for Hedquist while in Germany.

“I’m excited about working with Faisal,” said Hedquist who is also a member of the Utah Skeleton Association. “He is an extremely coach able athlete and has tremendous potential in the sport of skeleton.”

(Manhattan Beach, Calif.) – The Elmore Sports Group (ESG) and Global Sports Partners (GSP) announced today its financial support of Anne Abernathy, the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee luge athlete who will be competing in her sixth (6th) Olympic Winter Games in Torino this month.

“Anne is truly an amazing athlete considering the injuries and obstacles that she has had to overcome,” commented Dave Elmore, chair of the Elmore Sports Group. “To participate in the Olympic Games is an extreme honor but to do it six times is truly phenomenal!”

By competing in the Torino Olympics, Abernathy will break her own record as the oldest female athlete to ever compete in a Winter Olympics and will equal the record of most appearances in a Winter Games. Affectionately known as “Grandma Luge”, Abernathy first began her Olympic quest at the 1988 Games in Calgary, Canada and is a registered member of the International Luge Federation (FIL). She has trained with members of the USA Luge national team who are half her age at the USOC’s Lake Placid Olympic Training Center.

“We are truly grateful to Mr. Elmore for his support of Anne,” said Hans Lawaetz, President of the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee. “Anne’s accomplishments have been because of her dedication and perseverance and she has been an inspirational representative for all of us in the Virgin Islands.”

Abernathy’s history making performance will occur on Feb. 13 and 14 at the Luge venue in Torino at which time she will be nearly 53 years old. In previous Olympic Games, Abernathy finished 16th in 1988, 26th in 1992, 20th in 1994, 23rd in 1998 and 27th in 2002.
